TerraBlock SAN products feature flexibility and accessibility through innovative software. The Facilis Shared File System allows cross-platform clients to share, write and access of fiber channel or Ethernet to a single volume or several volumes utilizing the Facilis Virtual Volume architecture.

Multi-write features are achieved without additional LAN networking or per-seat licensing, eliminating added infrastructure costs and allowing customers to scale their network when needed, for only the cost of hardware. Ethernet connectivity delivers fully functional SAN features on a standard 1Gbit network.

 
Workflow

 
Improved workflow through multi-user write volumes with the proven performance and simplicity of volume-level sharing. Workflows can be designed for open-access data management for all workstations, with the ability to allocate single-user write volumes to fiber channel workstations when dedicated throughput is required. With the Facilis Virtual Volume architecture, new storage volumes can be created on the fly and used immediately.

 
Flexability

 
TerraBlock Virtual Volumes can be used as volume-level or multi-write file-level, depending on the platform, connectivity and workflow. Any workstation can connect over fiber channel and access the SAN data, whether or not the Facilis Shared File System software is installed.

The first fiber channel SAN to provide a multi-write shared file system without per-seat licensing instead is enabled per-server, regardless of the number of clients that will be deployed.

The first shared storage solution to ship 8Gbit client connectivity, for extreme bandwidth requirments of 2K and 4K film digital intermediate and multi-stream 1:1 HD.

Through the Facilis Shared File System, TerraBlock is the only third-party SAN that supports the native Avid project and media sharing features.

By itself the 24D is capable of supporting multiple editors working in standard definition or compressed HD.
