I was ready to upgrade my floro key light and looking at LED's and that's when I found out about Remote Phosphorus. After a lot of research and digging around I decided on the Area 48. Matt Allard ACS did a good video review on Vimeo which was very helpful
In all honesty, it was the most expensive light I have ever bought but after using it for interviews and B Roll I am very happy that I did buy it. The way the light is soft but very bright and clean is really something else.
I think the only thing that lets BB&S down a bit is the instructions that arrive in the box - they are pretty limited and I had to go to their YouTube channel to look for answers to set up the light correctly.
The guys at Videocraft where very helpful through out the buying process and their price is excellent. Much cheaper than B&H for this bundle.
Their supplier was a bit slow on the delivery side of things and was missing the egg crate (which is coming soon I understand - about 3 weeks after the light arrived) but I get used to that in Australia. In fact on the same day that I ordered the light from Videocraft I ordered some parts from the US - the parts arrived even before the supplier had shipped the light! This is not Videocraft fault though although they did underestimate the processing and delivery times to start with.
Overall, I highly recommend this light and Videocraft as a good place to purchase it from. Just be prepared for at least a week to get the delivery as the supplier is on the slow side.
