Symply SymplyDIT LTO XTF Desktop Thunderbolt 3 HH LTO-8 Tape Drive

The SymplyDIT LTO is based on the advanced desktop SymplyPRO LTO product line featuring a rugged metal alloy enclosure, whisper-quiet fan, and premium power supply. With added multi-access technology that combines docking support for Atomos media along with any 2.5” SSD for fast all-in-one DIT operations. Unlike others, this is not a repurposed LTO DIT system or a highly design-compromised tape product. The SymplyDIT LTO was designed by working with media professionals and hearing their needs and wants.

Each SymplyDIT LTO system includes two Thunderbolt 3 ports for daisy-chaining and fast device charging. They also include a SAS expansion port and SAS host connectivity port in case you need to connect other SAS devices to your Thunderbolt-equipped computer or use it with a non-Thunderbolt workstation. All SymplyDIT LTO configurations feature Linear Tape File System (LTFS) support. Allowing simple drag and drop file operation similar to a conventional hard drive. LTFS can reduce the need for backup or archive software, and allows users to easily interchange data using LTO cartridges or copying data to and from hard drives or SSDs.

SymplyDIT LTO includes the feature-rich SymplyATOM (Advanced Tape Operations and Management) software that makes operation and maintenance easy. SymplyDIT LTO systems are also compatible with popular backup and archive utilities for macOS and Windows including YoYotta LTFS, Hedge Canister, Xendata, Tiger Technology Bridge, Retrospect, and Archiware P5.
