SmallRig Advanced Cage Kit for Canon C400

The SmallRig Advanced Cage Kit for Canon C400 is a modular rigging system designed to protect and customise the Canon EOS C400 camera for professional use. Made from lightweight aluminium, it includes a full camera cage, top and side plates, handle extensions, 15 mm rod system, V-lock battery plate, and sun hood, with multiple mounting options to suit a wide range of accessories and shooting setups.

Modular Cage Design

The cage comprises a top plate and two side plates with 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 anti-twist threads. These support various accessories such as articulating arms, cable clamps, and cold shoes. It also features a QD socket, NATO rail, and ARRI-style rosette for flexible mounting options.

Top Handle and Extension

An extended top handle adds comfort and increases mounting real estate for monitors, microphones, or wireless transmitters. The extension cable included ensures connectivity remains uninterrupted.

15 mm Baseplate System

Compatible with ARRI-style dovetail plates and BP-8 bridge plates, the baseplate includes a 15 mm LWS mount and two 15 mm rods for attaching follow focus systems, matte boxes, or lens supports.

Backplate and Power Options

A cheese-style backplate offers more mounting threads and integrates with the included V-lock battery plate. This supports external V-mount batteries to power the camera and accessories, reducing downtime during shoots.

LCD Extension and Sun Hood

The LCD extension arm allows better monitor placement, particularly useful in shoulder rig setups. The sun hood reduces glare, enabling clearer viewing in outdoor environments.
