Details

The Blackmagic Design Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 offers professional connectivity options, including 12G-SDI and 10GbE Ethernet, and also supports live streaming. This camera seamlessly integrates with robust SDI video switchers, providing 12G-SDI output and program return for camera control, talkback, and tally functions. With the Ethernet connection, users can establish an SMPTE-style workflow with a more affordable single-cable setup that includes PoE (power over Ethernet). The 4K Pro model retains the XLR audio, Blackmagic Raw recording, HDR capabilities, 7-inch touchscreen monitor, HDMI output, and Micro Four Thirds lens mount of its predecessor.

The advantages of a large studio camera are condensed into a single, portable design by the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2. Its thin, lightweight carbon fibre-reinforced polycarbonate body offers cutting-edge technologies in a compact form. The camera's 7 Inch viewfinder makes it simple to monitor and frame shots because it is made for live production. Your switcher, software, touchscreen menus for camera settings, and knobs for brightness, contrast, and focus peaking are all available for control. Your setup is sped up by the accompanying tripod mount with 15mm LWS rod ports and mounting plate.

The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 model is built for use with powerful SDI switcher processes and features 12G-SDI, 10GbE Ethernet, talkback, and balanced XLR audio inputs. HDMI with tally, camera control, a record trigger, headphone and mic connectors including dual XLR ports, and two USB Type-C expansion ports are just a few of the interfaces made for both broadcast and consumer components. Your setup will be quicker and more economical thanks to the 10G Ethernet, which enables all video, tally, talkback, and camera power over a single connection.

The Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 has built-in live streaming, so you can use it as a remote camera anywhere in the globe and produce an H.264 live feed that is broadcast over the internet back to your studio. Even better, you can use one of the USB-C ports on your 4G or 5G smartphone to back up your Ethernet link. An ATEM Streaming Bridge that also provides tally, talkback, and camera control converts the live feedback to video in the studio.

With gain ranging from -12 dB (100 ISO) to +36 dB (25,600 ISO), the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 is designed to minimise grain and noise in images while preserving the whole dynamic range of the sensor. The recommended native ISO for use in studio lighting is 400. While photographing in dimly lit settings, the secondary high-base ISO of 3200 is ideal. By using the SDI or Ethernet remote camera control, the gain can be adjusted directly from the camera or remotely from a switcher.

You may create cinematic images for live production using the incredible 4K sensor in combination with Blackmagic generation 5 colour science, which is the same imaging technology used in digital film cameras. Also, you obtain far better photos than with straightforward broadcast cameras when you combine them with the integrated DaVinci Resolve primary colour corrector. Even the switcher itself can be used to regulate the colour corrector. The Studio 4K Pro G2 camera's 13 stops of dynamic range results in darker blacks and brighter whites, making it ideal for colour correction. The sensor's 4096 x 2160 resolution makes it ideal for both HD and Ultra HD operations. Moreover, all models offer frame rates of 23.98 to 60.

The Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 is compatible with a large selection of reasonably priced photographic lenses thanks to the well-liked MFT lens mount. The fact that photographic lenses are made for use in high-resolution photography accounts for their extraordinary quality. Moreover, the active lens mount enables remote lens adjustment. With the optional focus and zoom demands, you can adjust a suitable lens from the tripod handles, just like a huge studio camera, eliminating the need to reach around to adjust them. By doing this, you may follow pictures and use the camera without taking your hands off the tripod and avoiding camera shake when adjusting the lens. It has the same sensation as a pricey B4 broadcast lens.

The 7" high-resolution screen will significantly simplify framing photographs and completely change how you operate the camera. The HDR display on the Pro model has a tremendous amount of brightness, making it ideal for use outside in broad sunshine. On-screen overlays display information such as levels, frame guides, the histogram, focus peaking indicators, status and record settings, and more. Even 3D LUTs can be used to monitor shots with the appropriate colour and appearance. The touchscreen contains menus as well, and you may load and modify presets for certain tasks. The provided sunshade is compatible with sunshades from the Blackmagic Studio Viewfinder and can be folded to cover the screen during transport.
