While the team on the floor has been lost in lenses and switchers this morning (check out the images on social media). We back in press release heaven thought we would throw a bright spark out there with the latest release from Kino Flo Lighting Systems’ who have revealed two new Diva-Lite LED 20 & 30. Both fixtures feature DMX tunable Kelvin from 2700 to 6500K, with Green/Magenta correction, and wireless DMX. A white light that doesn’t flicker or shift colour temperature when dimmed. The Diva-Lite LED 20 and 30 can be operated wirelessly, with the use of a Lumen Radio® transmitter, as an alternative to DMX cables. The lights come with a 90° honeycomb louvre and built-in barndoors. Available in August 2016. Diva-Lite LED kits will be available as a one-light kit with soft case or flight case and a two-light kit with flight case. Just when we thought the pocket sized best in show award would go to Blackmagic Design we stumbled across this cool micro sized dolly – Rollocam Hercules, not only is it physically small so is the price. Weighing less than 5 oz and small enough to fit inside your pocket, to go wherever you go! You can create linear dolly shots, panning shots, curved shots, and short and long exposure time-lapses. The Hercules name suits as for such a small dolly it contains a powerful motor that can support any camera less than 5kgs. Speed and direction are programmed using only one button while 3 LEDs indicate operational status. This mighty little dolly runs continuously on a single AAA battery for more than an hour at high speed and up to 48 hours in time-lapse mode. Check out this video… The New Titan Articulated Arm from Bright Tangerine is a self-supporting and pivoting unit, which takes a payload of up to 8kg. When the arm is loosened for positioning, it will stay in place, even with a full 8kg mounted on it. When locked off, the monitor can still be pivoted. We haven’t been able to source a picture of it yet from Bright Tangerine but the guys from Newsshooter.com have done a great video on it which is worth a look. Pelican Products have been a stable of our showrooms across Australia, and its great to see them launch the new Pelican Air range - lighter to carry yet still durable for professionals carrying expensive gear. As well as making the case better the insides have a different option too. The TrekPak™ system uses pre-installed wall sections, divider panels, locking pins and a fool-proof cutting tool. Just lay your gear in the case, measure and cut the divider sections and lock them in place with the steel U-pins. We include extra divider material so you can change your mind, plus divider panels are also available separately so you can reconfigure your dividers at any time   We cannot leave today without making some noise about the Sennheiser MKE 440, a camera microphone that uses a new type of stereo arrangement to create truly exceptional audio results for DSLR users. We hope that these updates have given you insight into a very large show. We will be discussing our finds among the team, work out when and how to best present them to you on our return from NAB. With only one day to go before we fly home, its going to be a busy last day. If you have found anything at NAB or in the announcements that you think we should know about then leave us a comment below so we can check it out!
