The Blackmagic Design ATEM Television Studio HD8 2TB is a compact live streaming switcher designed for professional and remote productions. It features eight 3G-SDI inputs supporting up to 1080p60 video, integrated 2TB M.2 NVMe storage for internal recording, built-in streaming, USB webcam support, and advanced audio mixing. Compatible with Blackmagic Cloud, it allows immediate access to program recordings from anywhere.

Live Production and Connectivity

This switcher supports up to eight cameras with individual 3G-SDI inputs, each with dedicated standards conversion. It offers program and aux outputs, professional camera control, talkback, and a 58-channel audio mixer, making it suitable for television studios, live venues, and mobile productions.

Built-In Streaming and Recording

With a hardware streaming engine, the device streams directly to platforms like YouTube in H.264 format with AAC audio. Internal recording to the 2TB M.2 NVMe drive or external USB disks ensures reliable capture, with seamless switching between disks to avoid interruptions. Recordings are instantly accessible via Blackmagic Cloud for remote postproduction.

Advanced Switching and Effects

The ATEM Television Studio HD8 includes broadcast-grade features such as ATEM Advanced Chroma Keyers, a digital video effects processor (DVE), transitions, and media players. The front panel offers tactile control with professional-grade buttons and a T-bar for manual transitions. The software control app expands functionality with colour correction, audio mixing, and macro support.

Multiview and Monitoring

A professional multiview output displays up to 16 video sources, including program and preview, on a single monitor via SDI or HDMI. Each view has tally indicators, custom labels, and audio meters, allowing operators to monitor all inputs and outputs efficiently during live productions.

Flexible Power and Repairability

The unit features an internal power supply compatible with 100 to 240 VAC and includes both AC and DC power inputs for redundancy and remote use. Modular internal PCBs allow easy repairs and replacement of connectors, reducing downtime and maintenance costs.
