The Canon OC-E4A Off-Camera Multi-Function Shoe Cord allows photographers to remotely fire Canon flashes. Removing the flash from the camera's hot shoe allows unique and dramatic lighting styles that are not possible with a traditional shoe-mounted strobe. Off-camera lighting reduces the harsh shadows commonly encountered with direct on-camera flashes and gives photographs a more natural look. This Multi-Function compatible cord is also compatible with the DM-E1D Digital Stereo Microphone, making it useful for video-based applications.
