Sony SDHC/SDXC Card Adaptor for SXS
The Sony MEAD-SD02 is an SDHC/SDXC card adapter that allows Class 10 SD memory cards to be used in the ExpressCard slots of XDCAM EX camcorders, decks, and compatible computers. It's a compact alternative when SxS cards are unavailable, offering flexibility in urgent shoots or field recording scenarios.
Flexible Backup for Field Recording
When SxS PRO or SxS-1 cards aren’t available, the MEAD-SD02 provides a quick solution using commonly available SDHC/SDXC memory cards. It's useful in time-critical environments where a memory card is needed immediately.
Device Compatibility
- Works with ExpressCard-compatible XDCAM EX cameras and decks
- Supports SDHC cards in: PMW-EX1 (v1.20+), EX1R (v1.10+), EX3 (v1.10+), PMW-350 (v1.10+), F3, 100, 150, 200, 300, 10MD (v1.10+)
- Compatible with PMW-EX30 recording deck (v1.20+)
- Can be used with Mac and Windows systems that accept ExpressCard media
- Not compatible with SBAC-US10 reader
Important Usage Notes
- Adapter is the same physical size as an SxS card
- UHS-I SD cards are supported
- Not recommended for slow-motion recording due to speed limitations
- Some devices may require a firmware update to function with the adapter
