The RM-1731S fits neatly into a 1 RU rack space with its pullout mechanism, ideal for broadcast trucks or studio racks where space is limited. This design allows quick access to the monitor without sacrificing valuable rack real estate.

Connectivity and Interface

Equipped with HDMI 2.0 and 3G-SDI inputs and loop-outs, the monitor supports a wide range of video sources up to UHD 4K60 and 1080p60 respectively. A USB-A port allows uploading of custom or built-in 3D LUTs, while the RJ45 port enables remote control from a computer, streamlining workflow in complex setups.

Image Quality and Monitoring Tools

The 17.3" IPS panel delivers a 170° viewing angle, 300 cd/m² brightness, and 800:1 contrast ratio. HDR support includes HLG and ST2084 standards, enhancing dynamic range for clearer details. Monitoring features include peaking, false colour, vectorscope, histogram, anamorphic de-squeeze, and audio metering, all accessible via assignable buttons for quick toggling.

Colour Management and HDR

The monitor supports multiple HDR colour spaces and allows loading up to six custom 3D LUTs in .cube format. This flexibility helps content creators maintain accurate colour grading and consistency across different devices and workflows.

Audio and Usability

Embedded audio is output through a 3.5mm headphone jack and built-in speakers, with channel selection and onscreen audio metering available. The inclusion of assignable buttons on the front panel means frequently used functions can be accessed without navigating menus, saving time during shoots.
