The Aputure Amaran Halo 600x Bi-Colour LED Monolight delivers 610 watts of maximum bi-colour performance in an all-metal compact body that's a fraction of the size of traditional 600W COB fixtures. This point-source monolight outputs an impressive 32,500 lux at one metre with an 85-degree beam angle, covering 2700K to 6500K with high colour fidelity ratings (CRI 96, TLCI 97, TM-30 Rf 95). Control it via the onboard TFT screen, one-tap NFC pairing with the Amaran app, or optional DMX. Power comes from a single 5-metre AC cable with the power supply integrated directly into the fixture for streamlined setups. The reinforced full-size metal Bowens mount provides maximum modifier compatibility, while the integrated tilting bracket with built-in carry grip makes handling and mounting straightforward for expansive home studios, livestream rooms, and professional production sets.

All-in-One Monolight Design

The Halo 600x measures 24.1 x 14 x 16.5 centimetres (with mounting bracket), maintaining a compact footprint despite its 610-watt output. The streamlined monolight design integrates the power supply directly into the fixture, eliminating external ballasts and keeping your lighting setup clean and manageable. The reinforced full-size metal Bowens mount accepts reflectors, Fresnel attachments, and the full range of Bowens modifiers. The integrated tilting bracket with built-in carry grip simplifies angle adjustments, stand mounting, and overhead rigging, making it practical for professional workflows where efficiency and reliability matter.

Accurate Colour Across the Spectrum

High colour fidelity isn't just a specification, it's what keeps your skin tones accurate and your product shots consistent between takes. The Halo 600x achieves CRI 96, TLCI 97, SSI (Tungsten) 84, SSI (D56) 74, and TM-30 Rf 95 with Rg 102. These ratings ensure that warm tones don't skew orange, cool tones stay neutral, and colours remain consistent whether you're matching to window light at 5600K or tungsten practicals at 3200K. The variable CCT range from 2700K to 6500K with stepless dimming from 0 to 100% gives you precise control for any lighting scenario.

Control That Adapts to Your Workflow

The Halo 600x offers three control methods depending on your setup. Onboard control uses separate knobs for brightness and colour temperature, plus an intuitive TFT screen with colour-coded menus. One-tap NFC pairing connects to the Amaran app for wireless control up to 80 metres away, letting you adjust multiple fixtures without leaving your position behind the camera. For professional workflows, the optional USB-C to 5-pin DMX adapter integrates the Halo 600x into industry-standard lighting consoles for repeatable cues and multi-light scenes.

Quiet Active Cooling

Active cooling keeps the Halo 600x running efficiently without the noise penalties that often come with high-output fixtures. In Smart mode, the fan operates at just 28 dBA, quiet enough for dialogue recording and close-mic scenarios. You can also choose Silent mode for completely noise-sensitive work or High mode when maximum output takes priority. The optimised thermal management means the fixture stays cool during extended takes without thermal throttling or performance degradation.

Maximum Output for Professional Production

The 610-watt output delivers 32,500 lux at one metre at 5600K, providing substantial headroom for large modifiers, deep softboxes, or shooting through heavy diffusion while maintaining intensity. The wider 85-degree beam angle provides more uniform coverage, reducing hotspots and making diffusion more effective. This makes the Halo 600x practical for large-scale interviews, commercial product work, green screen setups, or key lighting scenarios where you need consistent coverage across wide frames with plenty of reserve power.

Creative Lighting Effects

Nine built-in lighting effects expand your creative options beyond static output:

  • Paparazzi for camera flash simulations
  • Fireworks for celebration scenes
  • Lightning for dramatic weather effects
  • Faulty bulb for flickering practicals
  • TV for screen flicker emulation
  • Pulsing for rhythmic lighting
  • Strobe for dynamic sequences
  • Explosion for impact moments
  • Fire for warm, dancing light
