The Panasonic AW-RP200 Remote PTZ Camera Controller offers advanced control with dual joysticks and one-touch macros, enabling precise operation of up to 200 PTZ cameras. Its 7" touchscreen LCD includes waveform and vectorscope displays for real-time monitoring, while versatile connectivity options support IP and RS-422 systems, making it suitable for complex multi-camera setups.

Enhanced Control

The Panasonic AW-RP200 features a dual-joystick design that allows for simultaneous or independent control of pan, tilt, zoom, and focus. The right joystick manages these primary camera movements, while the left joystick can be assigned to menu navigation, cropping, or controlling multiple cameras at once. This setup is complemented by 20 multi-select hardware switches with five assignable modes, enabling quick access to camera, preset, macro, or combined selection workflows. Additional shortcut buttons provide fast adjustments to image and motion parameters, streamlining complex multi-camera operations.

Monitoring

The controller includes a 7-inch touchscreen LCD that displays camera status, presets, and assignments, providing operators with immediate visual feedback. It also integrates waveform monitor and vectorscope displays for real-time image evaluation during setup and live operation. Full HD video output is supported via NDI High Bandwidth and SRT protocols, enabling high-quality monitoring. A web-based user interface allows for centralised IP configuration and batch setup, simplifying system management.

Connectivity

This unit supports control of up to 200 PTZ cameras over IP and up to three cameras via RS-422, making it suitable for large-scale and legacy systems. It offers multiple connection options including LAN, RS-422, GPIO, USB-A, and USB-C ports. For external monitoring, 3G-SDI input and output are available via BNC connectors. Power can be supplied either through Power over Ethernet (PoE) or a 12 V DC 4-pin XLR input, providing flexibility in various production environments.
