The Sonnet Echo II DV Two-Slot Full-Length Thunderbolt 5 PCIe Card Module gives video professionals a purpose-built expansion solution for high-bandwidth DV I/O cards. Designed to slot into Sonnet's xMac Studio, DuoModo, or Echo rackmount systems, this module delivers two independent PCIe 3.0 card slots, each with its own Thunderbolt interface for maximum throughput and zero channel contention.

Built for Professional Video Workflows

The Echo II DV addresses a common pain point for video editors and colourists: getting multiple high-bandwidth capture or playback cards working at full speed without bottlenecks. Each slot gets a dedicated Thunderbolt connection, so you can run two DeckLink cards, AJA Kona cards, or other professional DV I/O hardware simultaneously without performance compromise. The module supports every single-width Thunderbolt-compatible non-GPU card and accommodates full-height, full-length cards up to PCIe 4.0 x16.

Thunderbolt 5 Performance, Backwards Compatible

With Thunderbolt 5 computers, the Echo II DV delivers up to 6000 MB/s of PCIe bandwidth per connection. If you're running Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 systems, you still get 2880 MB/s per slot, plenty of headroom for most professional video applications. Four Thunderbolt 5 ports are onboard, two reserved for host connection and two available for daisy-chaining additional peripherals. Note that optical Thunderbolt cables are not supported.

Power and Cooling for Demanding Cards

A built-in 400W power supply with two 75W auxiliary power connectors ensures even power-hungry cards run reliably. Dual Noctua fans keep things cool at just 17 dBA, using temperature-controlled variable speed operation so the system stays whisper-quiet during long edit sessions. The module powers on and off automatically with your connected computer.
