Sony SEL600F63GM FE 600mm f/6.3 GM Prime Lens brings G Master optical performance and super-telephoto reach to a portable design for handheld wildlife and sports shooting. Its dual XD Linear Motor autofocus supports continuous AF/AE tracking up to 120 fps, while Optical SteadyShot offers three stabilisation modes. Super ED elements, Nano AR Coating II, an 11-blade diaphragm and dust- and moisture-resistant construction support detailed images in demanding conditions.

G Master Optical Performance

Super ED and ED glass elements help suppress chromatic aberration while maintaining sharpness from the centre to the edges, including at the maximum aperture. Nano AR Coating II reduces flare and ghosting for stronger contrast and colour in challenging light. An 11-blade circular diaphragm produces smooth background rendering and rounded bokeh.

Customisable Lens Controls

A customisable function ring can be assigned to camera or exposure settings, while four focus hold buttons provide quick access to assigned functions during shooting. The focus range limiter helps refine autofocus operation, and full-time manual focus override is available. The rotating tripod collar can be removed when it is not required, and the 95mm filter thread accepts compatible screw-in filters.

Durable Construction

The lens uses a hybrid metal and plastic construction to balance durability with portability. Seals at the lens barrel and mount help resist dust and moisture, while a fluorine coating on the front element repels water, oil and other contaminants for easier cleaning.

Teleconverter Compatibility

The lens is compatible with Sony FE 1.4x and 2.0x teleconverters, while retaining autofocus and auto-exposure functions. These combinations provide effective focal lengths and maximum apertures of 840mm f/8 and 1200mm f/11, respectively.
