The Tilta Camera Cage Base Kit for Sony FX5 (Black) is a modular, formfitting cage designed to protect your Sony FX5 digital cinema camera while enhancing handling and accessory mounting. It includes a full aluminium cage, Xeno top and side handles with NATO clamps, a bidirectional Arca-type base plate, and an HDMI cable clamp, all while maintaining full access to camera controls and ports.

Ergonomic Handles

The kit features two ergonomic handles: the Xeno top handle and the Xeno side handle, both secured with NATO clamps. The top handle has a silicone grip and multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for mounting accessories, plus a cold shoe for microphones or transmitters. The side handle offers adjustable vertical positioning up to 40 millimetres and includes a nonslip silicone grip for improved handheld stability.

Versatile Mounting Options

Accessory mounting is flexible with NATO rails on the top and side, a cold shoe mount, and anti-twist threaded holes (1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16). The detachable base plate includes a bidirectional Arca-type mount compatible with tripods and gimbals, supporting both horizontal and vertical shooting orientations.

Durable and Practical Design

Constructed from durable aluminium, the cage provides robust protection without adding excessive weight. It includes built-in strap slots and a magnetic latch securing the camera’s battery compartment. The kit also comes with an HDMI cable clamp to prevent accidental disconnections and stores an Allen key tool conveniently on the bottom of the cage.
