Tilta Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter Dual Nano II Motor Kit (E to PL)

The Tilta Nucleus Auto Focus Adapter Dual Nano II Motor Kit (E to PL) lets Sony E-mount cameras such as the FX3, FX30 and FX6 use PL cinema lenses with autofocus, including face and eye tracking, through Tilta’s Nucleus system. It also adds a built-in lens library with saveable calibration, quick AF to MF override from the hand unit, and dual Nano II motors for focus and iris control.

Lens profiles and calibration

A built-in lens library speeds up setup with supported PL lenses by letting you load a saved profile instead of calibrating from scratch. If you are using an unsupported or specialty lens, you can manually calibrate it through the adapter interface and save that mapping to the internal library for future use. Lens data can also be accessed through compatible Nucleus-M II or Nano II control hardware.

Dual motor control system

This kit includes two Nucleus Nano II motors, giving you a ready path to dual-motor setups. The adapter supports up to two wireless motors, so alongside focus control you can also configure iris adjustment through the camera’s electronic control when the system is set up accordingly. The motors use a 0.8 MOD gear for compatibility with most cinema-standard lenses and mount via an integrated 15 mm rod clamp.

Motor connectivity and rig integration

The Nano II motors support both USB-C and 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connectivity for flexible integration into a Nucleus wireless lens control setup. Dual USB-C ports allow power input and pass-through to additional motors from a single source. The motor design uses an offset drive position to help maintain gear engagement during operation, and the included lens adapter ring expands compatibility with some DSLR and mirrorless lenses.

Included power plate

The included L-Series battery plate adds accessory power options for cage-based camera builds. It supports one Sony NP-F970 type battery and provides multiple outputs for cameras and accessories.

Its aluminium and stainless steel construction is designed for regular rig use, and it mounts via a 6.35 mm thread with anti-twist pins and protective padding.
