The Blackmagic UpDownCross 100G is an 8-channel standards converter built for live production workflows and broadcast facilities that need reliable format conversion across SD, HD, and Ultra HD signals. It handles simultaneous up-conversion, down-conversion, and cross-conversion of up to eight independent video channels through native SMPTE-2110 connections via 100G Ethernet. The 1RU rack-mountable unit features redundant power supplies and dual 100G Ethernet ports for SMPTE-2022-7 failover protection, plus a separate NMOS control port for integration into IP-based control systems. Front-to-back cooling keeps noise minimal during operation. Whether you're managing multi-camera shoots with mixed formats or running a broadcast operation that needs format flexibility without sacrificing rack space, this converter delivers professional-grade signal processing in a compact, dependable package.
