Whether you're capturing gameplay footage at 1080p60, ingesting legacy VHS tapes via the included breakout cable, or monitoring colour-critical work on an external HDMI display, Intensity Pro 4K handles uncompressed and compressed workflows across professional NLEs like DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, Premiere Pro, and Media Composer, as well as streaming platforms and live production software. It's built for editors, colourists, streamers, and anyone who needs reliable, high-quality I/O without the markup of Thunderbolt alternatives.
Flexible Format Support Across Generations
Intensity Pro 4K bridges old and new with HDMI, component (YUV), S-Video, and composite connections. The included analogue breakout cable gives you RCA inputs and outputs plus SPDIF audio, so you can digitise archived footage from VHS decks, laserdisc players, or older broadcast equipment without needing separate hardware. HDMI 1.4b support covers deep colour and auto-configuration with compatible displays, and the card switches between SD, HD, and Ultra HD modes to match your source or output device.
Uncompressed Capture and Direct Codec Recording
Capture in true 10-bit YUV uncompressed or record directly to ProRes, DNxHD, and other edit-ready codecs inside your NLE, skipping transcode steps and preserving maximum image quality. Media Express software (included) handles batch capture, deck control emulation, and media organisation, while direct integration with third-party software means you can capture straight into your timeline or asset library without intermediate files.
Live Monitoring and Client Playback
Route your editing timeline to an external HDMI monitor or projector in real time for colour grading on a calibrated display, client reviews in a meeting room, or live event projection. Because Intensity Pro 4K outputs the same signal your NLE is processing, there's no lag or quality loss, and you avoid the limitations of software-only preview windows on your desktop screen.
