The Hollyland Pyro 5 4K Wireless Transceiving Monitor combines an on-camera 5.5 Inch monitor with a flexible wireless video link for production crews. It can work as either the transmitting or receiving unit, making it practical for camera operators, directors and clients who need to view a feed without adding separate transmitter and monitor hardware. It supports 4K at 30 fps video over HDMI and SDI.
Wireless transmission and receiver sharing
Dual-band 2.4 and 5 GHz operation uses Auto Dual-Band Hopping and Auto Frequency Hopping to select clearer channels in busy wireless environments. Line-of-sight transmission reaches up to 400 m, with Smooth mode offering latency as low as 60 ms and HD mode delivering a stable bit rate up to 12 Mb/s. One transmitter can connect to two receivers and two mobile devices at up to 396 m, or send to up to four receivers in Broadcast mode at up to 200 m. Lock Pairing helps prevent signal mix-ups when multiple Pyro systems are operating nearby.
Bright touchscreen monitoring and camera control
The 5.5 Inch (14 cm) 1920 x 1080 touchscreen reaches 1500 cd/m² for monitoring outdoors or under bright lighting, with adjustable brightness. Built-in image tools include waveform, focus assist, touch focus and dual-view monitoring, with configurable shortcut buttons for faster access. With compatible Sony cameras and a separately available control cable, the touchscreen can adjust ISO, aperture, shutter speed, white balance and focus mode, as well as trigger focus.
Connections, power and multicamera viewing
In transmitter mode, the Pyro 5 4K provides HDMI and SDI inputs plus an HDMI loop output. Receiver mode provides an HDMI output for connection to a production monitor or switcher. Its built-in L-Series battery plate supports common compatible camera batteries for portable setups. Pyro-series units can be grouped together, while two custom buttons allow quick switching between two camera feeds.
Recording, proxy files and RTMP streaming
An SD card slot supports MP4 recording sessions of up to 40 minutes, along with real-time proxy recording for quicker review and editing. Proxy files include timecode for synchronising with camera footage and are automatically organised into folders. SD cards can also hold custom LUTs and imported reference images for on-set overlays. Built-in RTMP streaming supports direct streaming to compatible services including YouTube Live, Twitch, TikTok Live and Zoom.
