Achieve a class-leading 1.4x maximum magnification for detailed close-ups of small subjects like insects, jewellery, or textures. With a 26 cm minimum focus distance and 9 cm working distance, you get flexibility in positioning and lighting, especially when paired with optional teleconverters for up to 2.8x magnification.

The 17-element, 13-group design includes two XA and two ED glass elements for ultra-sharp results with minimal chromatic or spherical aberration. Nano AR Coating II enhances contrast and reduces flare, while the 11-blade aperture produces soft, natural background blur.

Optical SteadyShot stabilisation is tuned for macro, reducing movement across five axes. Combined with in-body stabilisation, it supports handheld shooting even at high magnifications—ideal for field work or low-light setups.
