It features a 3.68 million-dot tiltable OLED EVF, AI-based real-time autofocus, and robust build quality in a 679 g body. Capable of 4K at 60 fps and 16-bit RAW output, the FX2 offers advanced recording options, excellent heat management, and cage-less accessory mounting.
Professional Video Performance
The FX2 supports 4K recording at 60 fps and Full HD at 120 fps, with internal 10-bit intra-frame recording and 16-bit RAW output via HDMI. With 15 stops of dynamic range and 5-step image stabilisation (CIPA), it delivers cinematic footage suitable for post-production workflows.
Advanced Autofocus and Subject Recognition
Equipped with 759 phase-detect and 425 contrast-detect points, the FX2 offers accurate and fast autofocus for both stills and video. AI-driven subject recognition ensures focus tracking for faces, eyes, and other subjects in real-time, even during movement.
Efficient Controls and Interface
The BIG6 Home screen centralises key shooting parameters—FPS, ISO, shutter, aperture/ND, look, and white balance. Seven custom buttons and a dedicated zoom rocker offer flexible control. A Movie/Still switch simplifies toggling between formats.
Durable and Lightweight Build
Constructed from magnesium alloy, the FX2’s chassis is lightweight yet strong. It includes three 1/4-20 UNC mounting points, eliminating the need for a cage in many setups. The robust lens mount is secured with six screws, accommodating heavier cinema lenses.
Audio and Connectivity Options
The camera integrates a digital audio interface for clean, professional audio when paired with an optional XLR-H1 handle (not included). It features dual card slots supporting SDXC/SDHC and CFexpress Type A, USB-C with power delivery, and 2.4/5GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.
Effective Heat Management
Extended recording is supported by an internal cooling system with a selectable fan mode (Auto, Minimum, Off). Airflow design and heat-conductive materials allow continuous 4K recording without overheating interruptions.
