Add real-time, markerless tracking to your camera rig with the Sony OCELLUS Camera Tracking System. Designed for virtual production, AR, and post workflows, it captures spatial data through a 5-face sensor and transmits it to a processing box via SDI or LEMO. Works indoors and out, with Sony or third-party lenses.

Markerless Visual SLAM Tracking

OCELLUS eliminates the need for markers by using Visual SLAM to detect feature points in the environment. This reduces reflections on LED walls and saves setup time, while maintaining accurate tracking indoors or outdoors.

Five-Sided Multi-Eye Sensor Unit

The compact sensor uses four of its five eyes simultaneously, capturing multiple points even in low light with built-in IR LEDs. Designed for flexibility, it can be mounted in any orientation using the included NATO rail.

Processing Box with Single-Cable Simplicity

Connects to select Sony cameras via one SDI cable to retrieve metadata and lens info, or use the included lens encoder for third-party lenses. Supports FreeD data output over Ethernet and records FBX files to SDXC cards for post-production use.

Real-Time AR and On-Set Previews

OCELLUS enables on-set composite previews and live AR overlays. Adjust compositions in real time and export tracking data directly, streamlining both live production and editing workflows.

Lens Data Encoder Included

The rotary encoder detects zoom, focus and iris data from manual lenses and transmits this to the processing box. Not compatible with third-party encoding systems.

Virtual Production
Perfectly suited to working with LED displays and green screens, marker-free tracking removes the need to set up tracking cameras or IR markers, removing reflections and limiting corrections in post.

Augmented Reality
Give viewers an immersive visual experience, with AR overlays applied in real time. Simply move the system to transform any studio into a virtual studio, and deliver everything from stats reviews to graphical displays—without relocating equipment or applying new markers

On-set Preview
On-set preview provides immediate review of composited footage, on-set or outdoors. Adjustments can be made in near-real time, while tracking data can be recorded as FBX files onto a SDXC memory card UHS-II/UHS-I to streamline matching and finishing in post.

Post-Production
Record tracking information and lens data during shooting, along with camera motion data obtained through match-moving, to support post-production editing.
