Tilta Advanced Camera Cage Kit for BMCC 6K (Black)

The Tilta Advanced Camera Cage Kit for Blackmagic Cinema Camera 6K is a modular rigging system that protects the camera and expands its functionality. It includes a full cage with multiple mounting options, an ergonomic power handle with run/stop control, 15 mm rod support, a top handle for low-angle shots, and accessories like a Samsung T5 SSD holder and HDMI adapter.

Full Cage Protection and Mounting Options

The formfitting aluminium cage secures the camera using an anti-twist three-point mount and provides multiple 1/4”-20 and 3/8”-16 threads, a NATO rail, ARRI-style rosette, and cold shoe mounts. The design accommodates the original Blackmagic battery grip with a removable bracket and integrates an Arca-type quick release base.

Low-Angle Shooting and Ergonomics

The Xeno padded top handle attaches via 1/4”-20 locating pins and includes additional mounting threads and a cold shoe slot. Its silicone grip improves comfort and control during handheld or underslung use.

Power Handle with Accessory Outputs

The left-side power handle connects to the cage with an adapter and accepts a Sony F570 battery. It includes 8 V USB-C and 12 V DC outputs for powering accessories, and a run/stop button to control recording on compatible cameras via USB-C.

15 mm LWS Baseplate and Rod System

The included 15 mm LWS baseplate supports industry-standard rods and is compatible with Tilta dovetails. Two 8” rods are provided for mounting follow focus, matte boxes, or other rod-based accessories.

SSD Mounting and Data Access

A dedicated bracket secures a Samsung T5 SSD to the cage, enabling high-speed external recording. The SSD is held firmly with a thumbscrew and positioned for cable management and easy removal.

Additional Rigging Flexibility

The kit also includes a 90° HDMI adapter to improve cable routing and reduce port strain, a left-side handle adapter for secure NATO mounting, and threaded rods with chamfered ends for smooth accessory installation.

This setup offers durability, cable organisation, extended power options, and improved handling—solving common rigging challenges in handheld and accessory-heavy configurations.
